Koai'a Earrings
Koai'a grows on the leeward coast from 150 ft elevation to around 4000ft elevation.
In old Hawai'i was used to make Mano(shark) hooks because of its strength. Also used for making spears, ukēkē (musical bow), among other important things.
This Koai'a was found on Kohala Mountain.
This Pair of earrings is meant to bring a deeper connection and clarity to the wearer. To ignite action and movement towards higher purpose.
They measure 3 5/8 inches including the hook and are inlayed with Aotearoa Paua. Jump rings and hooks are sterling silver.
