Lama 3 Piko with Paua inlay
Lama translates to light as in "enlightenment".
Lama is endemic to Hawai'i and grows mostly in the dry land forest. It is in the Ebony family.
Some of our favorite known uses of Lama in Old Hawai'i :
The fruit of the Lama tree is called Pi'oi and was a food source. Also used to build Pupupu hale that were built in a single day during daylight hours. The sick were placed in the Hale to heal.
This 3 Piko design with Lama is meant to bring transformation and connection.
